EXAMPLE LEARNING OUTCOMES & ASSOCIATED ACTIVITIES
Leadership
Students will have the opportunity to develop their leadership skills in activities such as, teambuilding, bushcraft, orienteering, navigation and watersports activities. These will work on their communication, cooperation and consideration of others. They will be asked to reflect on their sessions and identify areas for development along with areas of strength.
Teamwork
Students will work on their team building skills in our specific teambuild challenges but also all of our activities have an element of teambuilding so that students can work better together with a greater understanding of their own and others characteristics and personality traits. They will learn that it is not necessarily about completing tasks but about what we do when trying that is important.
Confidence
Students will develop their confidence levels whilst taking part in activities like watersports, climbing, archery and navigation sessions. Sessions are designed to help students learn and feel achievement at new or developed skills. Confidence differs in all and our range of activities will provide opportunities for all to grow.
Resilience
We aim to increase students resilience and determination in activities like bushcraft, archery, climbing and teambuilding. Students will have the chance to develop patience and adaptability on our sessions which will bring out their hardwork and perseverance. Working hard and focusing will be encouraged to see tasks completed and help individuals and teams not give up even when things are hard.
Environmental Awareness
Students will develop their understanding of environmental issues affecting them and the environment in activities like watersports, navigation & orienteering and bushcraft. They will be able to discuss and be encouraged to explore the sides of the issues. Students will be encouraged to communicate and engage with discussion and widen their knowledge of issues they may be passionate about.
